This week, I was commissioned by a friend of mine to paint something for them. I decided to take this challenge because I was painting on a surface that I had never painted on before: I was asked to paint on a snowboard. The person gave me loose guidelines to follow and really said that I could take whatever spin I wanted on it. He wanted me to use my creativity to create something unique for him. The interesting part of this project is that it is a decorative snowboard, not a functional one, so I don’t have to worry about sealing the design properly to make it last in the snow and other elements.

I decide to do a mountain range, with fluffy clouds, and a sun and a moon that will both have faces. The picture below shows my halfway progress of the project. I budgeted two weeks for this project, so this photo is what I have completed after the first week.
